Fun facts about me

I was born and grew up in Malaysia to a British mum and a Malay dad but moved permanently to London in 2005. I still don’t like the autumn or winter months but I’m getting used to them after 15 years living in London. I have been married for over 10 years and have 2 gorgeous daughters – an 8 year old and a 3 year old.

I enjoy doing Pilates and aerial yoga. I get great pleasure from doing some gardening and going on walks in forests and pretty parks.

I also love going to art exhibitions, cooking all kinds of cuisines and eating dark chocolate.

I am also a bit of a neuro geek! I just love learning about how the brain and our nervous system works, how we learn new things and I love delving into what goes wrong in the nervous system when it does go wrong so I can get clues about how to help the damaged nervous system work better.

I’m curious to know how the mind works and what makes people tick. In September 2019, I became a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach after completing a course from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition I am also currently studying a Brain Health Coaching certification run by Amen University, led by the world reknowned neuropsychiatrist and brain health expert, Dr Daniel Amen. I decided to study to be a Health Coach because I wanted to learn about all aspects of health including nutrition, our microbiome, stress reduction, improving emotional health and finding personal fulfilment as all these factors impact on our physical health. I am also looking forwards to learning about the power of positive psychology and how to help people make long term habit changes to improve their health.
